About the Fellowship

The purpose of the Launch Fishers High School Fellowship is to discover and develop future entrepreneurs. After applying and being selected for consideration, students participate in an Entrepreneurial Bootcamp hosted by Launch Fishers. At the conclusion of bootcamp, students interview for a chance for an 8-week paid summer internship with local companies.

Students must be a resident of Fishers, attend either Hamilton Southeastern High School or Fishers High School, and be currently enrolled as a high school student (freshman to graduating senior).

Are there plans for a 2024 program?

At this time, no information is available for a 2024 program. If any announcements are made, they will be posted on the Launch Fishers social media channels and this page.

How does the process work?

Here’s the breakdown:

1. Students apply for the program and can select a limited number of internship opportunities to apply for directly.
2. At the conclusion of the application period, host companies will receive the applications for students who applied for their internship opportunity. Each host company can select a limited number of students to consider for their internship.
3. Selected students will be notified which internship opportunities they are in the running for and will participate in an Entrepreneurial Bootcamp at Launch Fishers.
4. Interviews for internship opportunities will take place at the conclusion of bootcamp. Students will interview with the company/companies who selected them for consideration.
5. After completing all interviews, both the students and host companies will select their top pick(s) for internships and, using a mutual pairing process, students will be placed in internships. Communication will be sent to students and host companies the same day in the evening following interviews.
6. Hired students will complete their employment paperwork at Launch Fishers prior to internships beginning.

How much do the internships pay? How many hours are they for?

Interns are paid $15/hour. Each internship can run for a total of 160 hours over 8 weeks. That breaks down to approximately 20 hours per week, but most companies are flexible with schedules to accommodate vacations/other activities.
